Big food and other shopping is done in many small towns near by, the nearest is ten kilometers. A small local village shop can be used for a restricted range of food items especially if you are prepared to point or try your Czech

There are many very good local restaurants and bars in the area and prices are a fraction of those obtaining in the Prague tourist spots. There are good shops for the usual Czech specialties such as cut glass crystal and leather goods in the nearby towns.
